For the second year in a row, ALTPRO participated in the WES workshop, which took place from November 2-15. at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Besides ALTPRO, the sponsors of the workshop were AVL, Rimac, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, GlobalLogic, Greyp, DOK-ING, Schneider, Montelektro and dSpace.

Workshop on embedded systems (WES) is an educational workshop on embedded computer systems organized by the student association EESTEC LC Zagreb, and is intended for all students of the University of Zagreb. The goal of the workshop is to introduce students with the embedded field and to provide them with the opportunity to listen to lectures by top experts from numerous partner companies from the IT industry. This gives students the opportunity to see how things work in the real world – what challenges they may encounter in the future workplace and how to ultimately solve them.

At the opening of WES, Head of marketing Ivana Nikolić gave the students a brief introduction to the company, and a two-hour lecture on “Railways, electronics and computing” was held by the head of the Development department Joško Rokov. The lecture discussed experience in the development of electronics, software, installation and field work, as well as projects on railway infrastructure and vehicles in general.
